Fleet washing in Dartmouth and Burnside
Dartmouth is where our trucks park, and Burnside is down the road. If your fleet lives on this side of the harbour, the wash is about as close as it gets.
A Dartmouth fleet wash from a Dartmouth company
O'Brien's Faster Blaster is a family owned mobile wash based in Dartmouth, and has been since 1997. We wash highway tractors, trailers, tankers, box trucks, salt spreaders and work vans at the yards where they park. For a Dartmouth fleet that means a short drive for us, easy scheduling for you, and no trip across the harbour for anybody.
Burnside is trucking country
The City of Halifax describes Burnside as the largest business park north of Boston and east of Montreal, and it has long been home to the biggest concentration of truck transportation in Atlantic Canada. Add City of Lakes next door, the Atlantic Gateway logistics park inside Burnside and the businesses around Dartmouth Crossing, and this side of the harbour has more trucks parked in it than anywhere else in the region.
That density is what makes a mobile wash work so well here. When yards sit close together, we spend the visit washing trucks instead of driving between them.
Skip the bridge
Anything over 3,200 kg is barred from the Macdonald Bridge, so a heavy truck from Dartmouth heading to a wash on the Halifax side goes around by the MacKay, and high sided units get held there when the wind picks up. None of that matters if the truck never leaves the yard. We wash it where it sits and the driver never sees the bridge.
Salt season on the 111 and the 118
Dartmouth fleets live on the 111, the 118 and the 107, and through the winter those roads are salted hard. The salt does not stay on the paint. It packs into the frame rails, around the fifth wheel, inside the wheel wells and onto every connector under the truck. Washing it off is cheap compared with what it eats.
Being local, we can come back on a schedule through the winter without travel adding to the cost. Spreaders and plow trucks in particular are worth doing the week the season ends, not in June.
What we wash on this side
Whatever is in the yard, we can usually do it on the same visit:
- Highway tractors and trailers, cab, fairings, tanks and frame rails
- Tankers, where the shell shows every streak
- Box trucks and cube vans that spend the day in front of customers
- Salt spreaders and plow units at the end of the season
- Work trucks and vans parked behind a shop or at home
Dartmouth fleet washing prices
Same as anywhere: units, size, how dirty and how often. There is no travel charge built in for a Dartmouth yard, because this is where we are based. Send us the details for a straight number, or read more about how our fleet washing works. If you also need a house or building on this side washed, see pressure washing in Dartmouth.
