Pressure washing in Sackville
Lower Sackville, Middle Sackville and out that way is family housing with real yards, real decks and real fences, which is most of what we get called for here.
Houses that get used
Sackville is largely family housing on decent sized lots, and that shows up in the work. It is less about a single wall and more about the whole outside of the place, the siding and the deck and the fence and the shed, all going the same direction at the same rate.
It usually makes sense to look at the lot as one job rather than picking off one surface, because they all grew the same green over the same few summers.
Inland, wooded, and slower to dry
Sitting back from the water with a lot of tree cover, this end of the HRM holds damp well into the day. Surfaces that stay wet longer grow more, which is why decks and north walls out here can look considerably worse than the same thing closer to open ground.
Decks are usually the first thing to go, and a green deck is a genuinely slippery one.
Tree cover is why it comes back faster here
Set back from open water with a lot of mature tree cover, this end of the HRM holds damp well into the day. Surfaces that stay wet longer grow more, and they grow it again sooner after a wash. That is not a knock on the work, it is the climate this end of town has.
It does mean a sensible cycle here is shorter than it would be for the same house sitting in the open. If you are getting two or three good years out of a wash on the shaded side, that is about right for the conditions.
What we get called for out this way
Every part of the HRM sends us a slightly different job. This is what the phone actually rings about in Sackville.
- Decks first, almost always, because they go slick before anything else does
- Fences, especially the run that backs onto the trees
- Siding on the shaded side of the house, which out here can be most of it
- Sheds, garages and the outbuildings people forget until the house is done
- The whole lot at once, because it all grew the same green over the same few summers
What we do at houses here
Residential work is HRM only, and Sackville is well inside it.
Commercial work is a bigger map
Everything above is residential. Our fleet washing, heavy equipment and building work is not limited to the HRM at all, that runs across the whole province. If you have a yard, a fleet or a building in Sackville or anywhere else in Nova Scotia, see commercial pressure washing.
