Fleet and work truck washing in Cole Harbour
Not every fleet lives in an industrial park. Out here it is plow trucks in a driveway, a few contractor vans behind the house and a spreader that just finished the season. We wash those too.
Small fleets and work trucks, washed where they park
O'Brien's Faster Blaster is a family owned mobile wash based right next door in Dartmouth, and Cole Harbour is about as close to home as a job gets for us. Fleet work out this way looks different from Burnside. There are fewer big yards and more small outfits: contractors, landscapers, plow operators and owner operators who park the truck at home. We come to wherever that is, a yard, a lot behind a shop or your own driveway, and wash the units there.
Plow trucks and spreaders, the week the season ends
Snow removal trucks spend the winter doing the one thing that wrecks trucks fastest: driving through salt on purpose. A spreader that has been laying salt since December is coated in it, inside the box, around the spinner and all through the frame.
The best time to wash those units is the week the season ends, before the salt gets the whole spring to work on them. Leaving it until June is how a three year old spreader ends up looking ten. The plow truck, the spreader and the pickup can all be done in one visit.
Your driveway is fine
A lot of work trucks out here never see a commercial yard. They park in the driveway beside the house, and that is no problem for a mobile wash. We bring our own water on the truck, so you do not need to run a hose or pay for the water. The products we use are environmentally safe and will not harm plants, grass or animals, which matters when the driveway drains onto the lawn.
If the house needs a wash too, it can usually be done on the same visit. Our page on pressure washing in Cole Harbour covers the house side.
Eastern Passage, Westphal and the 107
Cole Harbour sits between Dartmouth, Eastern Passage and the Highway 107 corridor heading east, and work trucks out here spend their days on Cole Harbour Road, Portland Street and the 107. Eastern Passage adds its own traffic around the Autoport and Shearwater. All of it is a short drive for us, and all of it picks up the same winter salt as everywhere else.
What we wash out this way
- Plow trucks and salt spreaders, ideally right after the season
- Contractor pickups and vans carrying your name and number
- Landscaping trucks and trailers that spend all summer in the dirt
- Dump trucks and small equipment parked in the same yard
- Highway tractors that live at the owner operator's house
Pricing for small fleets
One truck or ten, the price comes from how many units, how big, how dirty and how often. Small fleets are welcome, and so is a single truck. For the full picture of how we wash trucks, see our main fleet washing page, or heavy equipment washing if there is a machine in the yard too.
