Privacy policy

The short version: the only personal information we collect is what you type into our quote form, we use it to get back to you about the work, and we do not sell it or send you marketing you did not ask for.

Who we are

O'Brien's Faster Blaster Mobile Wash, a family owned mobile wash based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. You can reach us at (902) 462-3355 about anything on this page, including asking us to delete what we hold about you.

What we collect

Only what you send us through the quote form. That is your name, your phone number, your email address if you give one, your town, the service you are asking about, and whatever you write in the message box.

If you phone us instead, we have whatever you tell us on the phone and your number on the call display. That is normal business record keeping rather than anything this website does.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, quote the job, schedule it, and keep a record of work we have done. Nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not send newsletters, and we do not pass your details to anybody trying to sell you something.

What this website does not do

• No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no tracking pixel and no advertising tag on this site.
• No cookies set by us. Our own code does not set cookies or store anything in your browser.
• No profiling, no behavioural advertising, and nothing is sold or rented to anyone.

Other companies involved

Three services are involved in this site working, and it is fair that you know what each one sees:

• Netlify hosts the website and receives the quote form submissions. Like any web host they also log ordinary technical information such as IP addresses when a page is requested.
• Elfsight loads the Google reviews panel on our work page. That widget is served from their systems, so loading that page contacts them.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces the site is set in, so your browser requests those files from Google.

We do not send any of these companies your quote form details on purpose. Netlify has them because that is where the form goes.

How long we keep it

Quote enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to answer you and, if you become a customer, to keep an ordinary record of the work. If you would rather we deleted your enquiry, phone us and we will.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to delete it. Call (902) 462-3355 and ask. You do not need to put it in writing or explain why.

Children

This is a pressure washing company. The site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If we add anything to this site that collects more than it does today, analytics for example, this page gets updated before that goes live. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
