Pressure washing in Dartmouth

Dartmouth is home. O'Brien's has been based on this side of the harbour since 1997, which means no bridge toll built into the drive and no half day lost getting to you.

This is our own end of town

We are a Dartmouth company. That is not a marketing line, it is where the trucks are parked. It means short travel, easy scheduling and no reluctance about coming back if something needs another look.

It also means we have been washing the same kinds of houses here for a very long time. Dartmouth runs from older postwar homes through to newer subdivisions, and we have had a wand on most of it.

Harbour air and the salt that comes with it

Anything close to the harbour picks up salt spray on top of the usual algae, and salt does not politely stay on the paint. It works into trim, fasteners and anything metal on the outside of the building.

Washing it off is routine maintenance and it is cheap. Letting it sit is how you end up replacing things that would have been fine.

No bridge, no toll, no half day gone

This is the practical advantage of hiring the company that is actually based here. There is no bridge crossing built into the trip, no toll passed along to you and no morning lost in traffic before anybody picks up a wand.

It also means coming back is not a production. If a wall needs a second look, or you spot something after we have packed up, we are ten minutes away rather than across the harbour trying to fit you in.

What we get called for on this side

Every part of the HRM sends us a slightly different job. This is what the phone actually rings about in Dartmouth.

  • Salt and road grime on anything facing a busy street or sitting near the harbour
  • Siding and trim on postwar bungalows and splits through the older neighbourhoods
  • Decks and fences that have gone slick, usually the shaded half first
  • Whole property washes before a house goes on the market
  • Fleet and equipment work at yards on this side of the bridge

What we do at houses here

Residential work is HRM only, and Dartmouth is well inside it.

Commercial work is a bigger map

Everything above is residential. Our fleet washing, heavy equipment and building work is not limited to the HRM at all, that runs across the whole province. If you have a yard, a fleet or a building in Dartmouth or anywhere else in Nova Scotia, see commercial pressure washing.

Questions about Dartmouth

Are you actually based in Dartmouth?

Do you do both houses and commercial work in Dartmouth?
Yes. House washing, siding and decks on the residential side, and fleets, heavy equipment and building exteriors on the commercial side.
How quickly can you get to a Dartmouth job?
Dartmouth is our own end of town, so travel is not the constraint, scheduling is. Call and we will tell you honestly where we are in the book.

No. This is our own end of town, so there is nothing to pass along.
Can you do the house and the work truck at the same visit?
Yes, and people do. If the truck is in the driveway it is far cheaper to do it while we are already set up than to book it separately.
